Restaurant Law in New York City: 2022 Edition

Olshan Real Estate Partner Nina Roket served as a panelist on a New York City Bar CLE Webcast Program on June 1st titled “Restaurant Law in New York City: 2022 Edition”.  The program addresses a wide range of issues and challenges involved in opening and operating a restaurant in New York City, including the challenges faced during the pandemic.  Corporate considerations such as such as choice of legal entity for restaurants are covered as well as real estate and lease issues.  Topics also include navigating the liquor license process and essential labor and employment issues.  Also discussed are special pandemic issues including rules for indoor and outdoor dining, renegotiation of leases, reorganization options, and pandemic insurance claims.
