Barron’s Covers Olshan Client Western Investment's Challenge to Boulder Investment Advisers
Barron’s (subscription required) discussed Western Investment’s shareholder proposal relating to two closed-end funds managed by Boulder Investment Advisers. The article discusses Western's proposed bylaw amendment that would terminate Boulder as manager of the funds if it is determined that Boulder overvalued the auction-rate preferred shares held by the funds. The SEC rejected Boulder’s attempt to exclude the proposals from the proxy materials for the funds’ upcoming annual meetings. Steve Wolosky represented Western in this matter.
