Olshan Client Bilwin Development Clears Way for Marriott Springhill Suites Hotel in Tuckahoe

The Westchester County Business Journal reported that Olshan client Bilwin Development Associates LLC, located in Eastchester, New York, plans to develop a $31 million hotel and restaurant on a former brownfield site in Tuckahoe. Bilwin worked with an environmental consulting firm to oversee the remediation work by removing the contaminated site materials.   For more than a century, the development site functioned as a marble quarry and then an industrial landfill.  Bilwin is developing a five-story, 153-room Marriott Springhill Suites hotel, with a 6,000-square-foot stand-alone restaurant.  The hotel is expected to open in late 2018. Real estate partner Eric Goldberg represented the developer in connection with the construction loan and corporate partner Kenneth Silverman represented the developer in connection with the hotel management agreement.
