Olshan Partner Tom Kearns Elected to Board of The New York Landmarks Conservancy

Firm News

On Sept 19 Olshan Real Estate partner Thomas Kearns was elected to the Board of The New York Landmarks Conservancy.  The Conservancy is a 46 year-old not-for-profit that works on behalf of New York’s architectural history and helps building owners by providing technical advice, financial aid, and education resulting in economic revitalization of the City’s neighborhoods and the aesthetic rehabilitation of its much-loved older buildings.  The Conservancy’s advocacy saved the Fraunces Tavern Block in Lower Manhattan, the public rooms of The Plaza and Waldorf Astoria Hotels and the Survivors Staircase at Ground Zero which is now featured in the 9/11 Museum.  They also have a unique range of financial and technical programs to help owners restore their properties. They have loaned and granted more than $52 million through the years that has contributed to more than $1 billion total restoration projects. The Conservancy is on the front lines working to preserve the City we love.
