Brian A. Katz Joins Olshan as Counsel in Litigation Practice

Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP today announced that Brian A. Katz will join the firm as counsel in the Litigation practice. Mr. Katz’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation in the representation of financial institutions and joins Olshan from Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP where he was an associate in the New York Office.

Mr. Katz represents financial institutions in litigation and advisory matters involving a variety of financial instruments and transactions, including asset-backed securities, CDOs, credit default swaps, repos, and other fixed-income products. He also represents clients in high stakes securities actions in both federal and state courts, and represents lenders, private investment funds, real estate developers, and mortgage loan servicers in disputes and advisory matters involving commercial and residential real estate issues. As a general commercial litigator, Mr. Katz represents various business entities in a broad array of matters, including breach of contract, licensing, false claims act, employment, and other disputes.

Mr. Katz received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law Magna Cum Laude where he was winner of the Homer Albers Prize in Moot Court Competition, and received his B.A. from Tulane University Magna Cum Laude.
