Client Ramius Launches Hostile Tender Offer for Cypress Bioscience

Olshan’s client Ramius LLC announced that it commenced a tender offer to acquire all of the outstanding shares of common stock of drugmaker Cypress Bioscience, Inc. after the Cypress board rejected an earlier offer to negotiate an acquisition of Cypress. Many national media outlets, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal MarketWatch and Law 360(subscription required) have reported on the story.
