Kearns Quoted in Law360 Regarding NY Real Estate Legislation and Regulation To Watch In 2016

Olshan Real Estate partner Thomas Kearns was quoted as an expert in a Law360 article regarding the top four real estate issues that will be affected by New York real estate legislation and regulation. The following issues that will shape this year’s legislation and regulation include affordable housing and zoning; the looming expiration of the 421-a tax incentive program; the mansion tax; and the landmarks law debate.  Kearns, speaking on the issue of the mansion tax generating city revenue says, “In truth, there are not that many of these transactions, so it’s a very small percentage of the overall budget” which might take the momentum out of the mansion tax debate.
