Activist Client Lone Star Value Launches High Profile Activist Campaign in Australia

Bloomberg, ABC News, The Australian (with the Wall Street Journal), 7 News, The West Australian, The Australian Financial Review (subscription required) and other prominent Australian media sources have covered the launch of a campaign by Olshan client, Lone Star Value, to shake up the Board of Directors of Antares Energy, an Australia-based oil and gas company with exploration interests in Texas.  Lone Star Value has requisitioned an extraordinary general meeting of Antares’ shareholders to seek the removal of two current Antares directors and the election of Lone Star Value’s five independent director candidates.  Media reports have described Lone Star Value’s engagement with Antares as “bringing shareholder activism to Australia” (ABC News).  Steve Wolosky and Ryan Nebel represent Lone Star Value in its activist campaign at Antares.
