Olshan Litigation Team Settles Lawsuit for Apple-Metro
Olshan represented Apple-Metro in a mediation and favorable settlement of a lawsuit concerning a sub-lease at a Harlem building partially owned by the National Black Theater. After Apple-Metro signed the sub-lease it was denied access because of a dispute among the owners. Olshan represented Apple-Metro in an appeal and the New York Appellate Division upheld the validity of the sub-lease, granting summary judgment to Apple-Metro on its claim for indemnification. Through mediation with Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, Apple-Metro agreed to a settlement that helped the Theater remain open for business. Media coverage included The New York Times and New York 1. Lori Marks-Esterman and Mason Barney represented Apple-Metro.
