Mary Grieco Speaks at Strafford CLE Webinar on Fair Use and IP Infringement on Social Media

Chair of Olshan’s Intellectual Property Law Practice and Co-Chair of the firm’s Brand Management & Protection Group Mary Grieco recently spoke at a Strafford CLE webinar entitled “Fair Use and IP Infringement on Social Media: Policing and Protecting Licenses, Copyright, and Trademark Rights” on October 3, 2023. The webinar explored whether a defense of fair use can protect the sharing of certain content on social media sites and when it crosses the line into unauthorized infringement. Mary’s panel discussed the current state of the laws surrounding fair use defenses in intellectual property and outlined steps to guide companies on monitoring and protecting against unauthorized use of their own intellectual property and social media content.
