Olshan Announces Partner and Counsel Elevations

NEW YORK, December 19, 2025 – Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP is pleased to announce the elevations of Dorothy M. Sluszka to partner and Daniel M. Stone to counsel at the firm. These well-deserved promotions were earned through responsive, results-driven work and exceptional client service. The new positions are effective as of January 1, 2025.

Dorothy M. Sluszka will serve as a partner in the firm’s Shareholder Activism Practice, where she represents hedge funds, other investors, and stakeholders in shareholder activism matters, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, securities, and related matters. Sluszka takes a proactive approach to ensure clients’ shareholder rights are protected and their investment value optimized. She assists clients with realizing their strategic goals and addressing immediate issues while anticipating risks and opportunities, so her clients are well-positioned for the future. Sluszka has extensive experience in SEC reporting and developing activist strategies. She has played an integral role in proxy contests, withhold campaigns, consent solicitations, settlement negotiations, and hostile takeovers. Her experience also includes working on company-side securities/capital markets matters such as IPOs, SPAC IPOs, and capital raises. Sluszka received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, cum laude, where she was the Senior Articles Editor for the Cardozo Journal of International and Comparative Law. She received her B.A. from New York University. She is a published author.

Daniel M. Stone will be a counsel in the firm’s Litigation Practice. He represents clients in sectors ranging from real estate to financial services and beyond to resolve complex business disputes in federal and state courts and through arbitration and mediation proceedings. With his experience in handling multimillion and multibillion-dollar disputes involving corporate governance, commercial contracts, and mergers and acquisitions, Stone swiftly evaluates risks and benefits to achieve clients’ objectives in complex and, often, cutting-edge matters. Stone’s experience also includes cases ranging from partnership disputes to cryptocurrency and blockchain litigation. From pre-litigation counsel to strategic stress tests and trials, diverse clients call on Stone for insights and results. Stone provides meaningful insights into new legal developments in articles he has published in leading law journals. Stone received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, magna cum laude, where he was the Staff/Development Editor of the Annual Survey of American Law, an Allen Scholar, and a member of the Order of the Coif. He received his B.A. from Yale University.
