A member of Olshan’s Tax & Personal Planning Group, Alexander Sánchez-Figueroa assists high-net-worth individuals in planning and administering their estates.
Alexander focuses his practice on estate and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and their families, as well as assisting in matters pertaining to the administration of trusts and proceedings with the Surrogate's Court, such as probate petitions. Alexander also works on tax-related aspects of transactions, and his experience includes corporate acquisitions, asset purchase agreements, corporate liquidations, spinoffs, membership-interest purchase agreements, 1031 exchanges and cross-border tax matters.
When faced with a tax problem, Alexander carefully considers the fact, reviews the Tax Code, regulations, and related authorities, and then pieces together a solution. Smart, hardworking and creative, he excels in finding ways to structure estate plans and transactions in a tax-favorable way.
Alexander is a native Spanish speaker.
