Chiang advises clients on capital markets transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, mergers, and other corporate or partnerships and reorganizations, as well as structures onshore and offshore private equity, real estate, and hedge funds.

Business entities and fund sponsors and business entities in wide-ranging industries throughout the U.S. and around the world rely on K.C. for astute counsel on U.S. and cross-border tax issues in connection with their business transactions. He deals extensively with partnerships, LLCs and other joint ventures, corporate mergers, spinoffs, fund formations, restructurings and reorganizations. He also provides tax guidance on controlled foreign corporations (CFCs) and passive foreign investment companies (PFICs), financial instruments, leveraged buyouts and other acquisition financings, tax treaties, hybrid entities, and conduit financings, and financial products and securitizations.
