His clients run the gamut from global apparel and fashion brands to world-renowned retailers, prominent commercial real estate owners, leasing companies, and high-net-worth individuals.

Commercial clients call on Mitchell to navigate their real estate leasing transactions for shopping centers, malls, outlets, lifestyle locations, strip centers, street and flagship locations, warehouse and distribution facilities, offices, and showrooms. He also advises clients on national leasing programs and their real estate portfolios. For his residential clients, Mitchell has negotiated and closed sales and purchases of co-ops, condos, and single-family homes in Metro New York's highly competitive market.

Mitchell has extensive experience reviewing and negotiating all types of commercial real estate leases and agreements, including subleases, license agreements for temporary retail space, surrender agreements, shop-in-shop, architect and brokerage agreements, and construction contracts. Mitchell has appeared on national television as a legal expert on CNBC's "Money Talk" and has served as a business and legal consultant to ABC News' "20/20." He is the author of Buy Your Own Business: The Definitive Guide to Identifying and Purchasing a Business You Can Make a Success, was a contributing author and editor for Beat the System and was legal affairs editor for AT&T Small Business Solutions, a quarterly journal published by Business Week. He has written extensively on real estate, business, and personal-finance issues for numerous major national publications.
