On Monday, October 16, 2006, Sheldon Lustigman will be sharing his insight on the risks and exposure those in the list industry share in the current regulatory environment. The presentation, given as part of Avrick Direct's DMA/San Francisco breakfast, will provide an update on recent government actions against list industry and related DM suppliers. Lustigman will show that instead of challenging the marketers themselves, regulators are increasingly focused on enforcement efforts against the service providers and suppliers of the marketers. Consequently, suppliers who are not engaged in any false or deceptive conduct are now being held accountable for the acts of their clients when they knew or should have known that something was awry.
