Rhode Island to Regulate Discount Buying Clubs
Legislation is currently before the Governor of Rhode Island for signature that will regulate Discount Buying Clubs (2009 RI HB 7597). Once enacted, the law will require Discount Buying Clubs to have a signed written contract with the consumer. The contract will be required to disclose certain terms and provide for a three day right of cancellation.
